IT Field Technician part time asneeded Farmington NM and surrounding area Position Summary Responsible for performing onsite or inhouse servicing repair andor installations Provides technical support in activities associated with the identification prioritization and resolution of reported problems Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less complex problems immediately while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system DETAILS Location Farmington NM and surrounding area up to an approximate 100 mile radius (when necessary) Hours of Operation The support is generally 800AM to 600PM but there may be instances in which service is outside of these hours PARTTIME AS NEEDED The support is Monday through Sunday but the support will primarily be Monday thru Friday with occasional weekend service calls as needed Because we are servicing Retail Financial and Insurance industry accounts the support is same day or next day support The Compensation for the position is as follows 1 Support averages 10+ hours per week hours are not guaranteed hours worked are hours paid 2 Hourly rate 1700 per hour 3 PORTAL TO PORTAL (drive time is paid at the same hourly rate as Onsite repair time) 4 Mileage reimbursement 034mile driven per Elite mapping software PORTAL TO PORTAL Expectations Communication Responsiveness Commitment Reliability Organizational Skills Patience Requirements Employees working on client accounts must possess A+ certification Performs general maintenance tasks troubleshoots and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment Performs basic computer hardware and software installations Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support This includes service that exceeds response time repair time lack of parts or any other issue that could impact customer satisfaction Represents Elite Tek Services Inc Compucom in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates Interacts with customer as directed responding to routine technical questions or request for information Preferred Knowledge and Comfortable working with or LEARNING the following 1 POS (Point of Sale) equipment (NCR) 2 LASER PRINTERS (Lexmark HP Xerox etc) 3 PC desktop support (Dell IBM COMPAQ etc) Possible Opportunities for Certifications (at customer s request) 1 Dell Cert 2 HP Cert 3 Customer specific Cert such as State Farm Xerox andor Lexmark Printer Certifications Additional detailsrequirements of what we are looking for 1 Employment is Subject to a Drug Test and Background Screening 2 Travel to customer sites is mandatory and Requires Candidates to have a Reliable Form of Transportation Available on a Daily Basis 3 Managing the shipping and tracking of all parts used on daily basis is mandatory 4 Support is on an ASNEEDED basis per the customer s request
